Save thousands in engine repairs

The Active Fuel Management system in your GM cycles special lifters on and off hundreds of times per drive. Eventually one sticks, the camshaft gets chewed up, and metal goes through the entire engine.

A lifter repair commonly runs $6,000, and a full engine replacement can top $10,000.

Protect a $50,000+ truck for less than the cost of a tank of gas.

Installs in 10 seconds

Most fixes for AFM need a mechanic, expensive tools, or risky ECU tuning. That's why most owners put it off until their lifters are already failing.

RevGuard plugs into the OBD-II port under your dash and locks your engine in full V8 or V6 mode the moment it's connected. No tools, no software, no shop visit.

Install anywhere in seconds, and unplug it anytime to return to stock.

Drives the way it was meant to

Every time AFM kicks in or out, your truck shifts between full power and half power. You feel a shudder when cruising, a lag when you step on it, and a jolt when the cylinders fire back up. It's worst in stop-and-go traffic and on hills, where the engine is constantly switching modes.

With AFM disabled, your engine stays in full mode every mile you drive.

No more shudder at cruise or lag when you step on it.

Stop losing a quart of oil between changes

AFM doesn't just wear out lifters, it burns oil too. When cylinders shut off, oil gets pulled past the piston rings and burned. Owners regularly report adding 1–2 quarts of oil between changes on AFM trucks.

After disabling AFM, many owners report their oil consumption drops way down.

Frequently asked questions

Will this void my warranty?

RevGuard doesn't modify your ECU and leaves no trace. Unplug it before a dealer visit and your truck reads as stock. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your whole warranty just because you used an aftermarket part.

Is it safe to run my engine on all cylinders all the time?

Yes. GM didn't add AFM because it's better for your engine. They added it to hit federal fuel economy targets. GM V6 and V8 engines ran on all cylinders all the time for decades before AFM existed. Disabling AFM removes the constant cycling that wears out lifters and camshafts.

Will I lose fuel mileage?

Slightly. Most owners report a drop of about 0.5 to 1 MPG on the highway and almost no change in city driving. For most owners, that trade is worth it. Saving 1 MPG isn't worth a $6,000 engine repair.

Will this fix my engine if it's already making noise?

No. RevGuard prevents future damage by stopping the system from running. It can't reverse damage that's already happened. If your truck is already ticking, knocking or misfiring, get it diagnosed first.

Will I get a check engine light?

It's designed to keep the engine in full-cylinder mode without setting diagnostic codes, so your dash should look the same as it does now. If you ever see a new light after installing it, unplug it and email us.

Does it work on V6 engines too?

Yes. Several GM V6 engines, like the 3.6L in the Camaro, Colorado, Canyon, ATS, CTS and more, also have Active Fuel Management. RevGuard works on both V6 and V8 GM vehicles with AFM or DFM. Use the compatibility checker to confirm yours.

What's the difference between AFM and DFM?

AFM (Active Fuel Management) is the original system used from about 2007 to 2018. DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management) is the updated version in many 2019+ trucks. They work on the same principle and have the same failure mode. RevGuard covers both on supported model years.

What if I don't like it?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund. No questions asked.

Protect your engine before the lifters go

Ten seconds under the dash. Try it for 30 days, and if you're not happy, get your money back.
